On February 3, 2026, Cornyn announced an international development: “This agreement with Mexico to ensure the water owed to the U.S. is delivered promptly is great news for Texas farmers and ranchers. Thank you to the Trump admin, local and state leaders, for doing what Joe Biden failed to do to get Mexico to finally comply with the Water”. The senator highlighted the importance of this agreement for agricultural communities in Texas.
Later that day, Cornyn addressed judicial appointments: “Texas deserves highly qualified individuals who will uphold our nation’s principles in the courtroom, & Nick Ganjei is exactly that person. I was proud to vote to confirm Nick as a District Judge for the Southern District of Texas in Houston & to have recommended his nomination”.
