Senator John Cornyn recently shared a series of tweets expressing his views and activities on several topics, including the confirmation of a new commissioner, funding for water resilience, and a comparison of presidential records.
On June 18, 2025, Senator Cornyn congratulated the newly confirmed Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection. He stated: “Congratulations to our new @CBP Commissioner, @rodneyscottbp! I was glad to vote to confirm Rodney & look forward to working with him to secure our southern border and keep Texans safe.”
The following day, June 19, 2025, Cornyn expressed support for the Water Resilience Fund. He tweeted: “Proud to support the reestablishment of the Water Resilience Fund, and I’m glad this funding is almost across the finish line. I look forward to continuing to work with @NADB_BDAN on resources and water for irrigators, farmers, and Texas border communities.”
Later that same day, he commented on President Joe Biden’s visit to Texas for Juneteenth. In his tweet he noted: “Joe Biden is coming to Texas today for Juneteenth, so let’s compare records. President Trump has created programs that have lifted Americans out of poverty and put more money in their pockets @POTUS @realDonaldTrump”
