Senator John Cornyn, a prominent figure in American politics, recently took to social media to express his views on various pressing issues. Through a series of tweets, he addressed concerns ranging from tax policies to immigration matters.
On June 3, 2025, Senator Cornyn voiced his opposition to the expiration of current tax cuts. He warned that “Failure is not an option. If @POTUS’ tax cuts are not extended, the American people will face the largest tax increase in American history & Texans will see their taxes increase on average $3,000 next year.” He highlighted feedback from constituents in Texas who expressed their reliance on these tax cuts.
In another tweet posted shortly after on the same day, Cornyn emphasized the importance of small businesses as key drivers of job creation in America. He questioned the rationale behind raising taxes on such entities by stating: “Small businesses are the primary job-creating engine in America. So why would we raise taxes on job creation?” The senator urged for legislative action to support President Biden’s agenda through a comprehensive bill.
The following day, June 4, 2025, Senator Cornyn shifted focus to immigration issues by criticizing what he described as an overlooked scandal involving unaccompanied minors at the border. He tweeted: “This is another Biden/Harris open borders scandal that the mainstream media ignored: 1/2 million unaccompanied minors placed with ‘sponsors’ and then abandoned.”
