Senator John Cornyn, a senior U.S. senator from Texas and ranking member on several Senate subcommittees, recently posted a series of tweets addressing ongoing geopolitical tensions and information warfare in the Middle East.

On March 28, 2026, Cornyn commented: “More like notorious https://t.co/CAZLlnXTGs”. Later that day, he referenced historical conflict over a strategic waterway by tweeting: “The current battle is just the latest iteration of a centuries-old fight for the Strait of Hormuz https://t.co/hO8FR1YCWe via @WSJ”.

Continuing his focus on international affairs, Cornyn tweeted on March 29, 2026: “In an Asymmetrical War, Iran Seeks an Edge With Its Dis-Information War https://t.co/7riYT2tlNL”.

Cornyn’s commentary comes as he serves on key committees including the Senate Finance Committee, Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. According to his official website, he emphasizes national security issues and draws on extensive experience as a former judge and Texas attorney general.
