Today, U.S. Senator John Cornyn appeared on Fox Business’ Kudlow to discuss the One Big Beautiful Bill. He emphasized its significance in preventing a potential tax increase for Texas families and controlling spending.
Cornyn stated, “We’ve got to continue the current tax provisions so we don’t see a multitrillion-dollar tax increase.” He highlighted President Trump’s role in fostering economic growth through deregulation, energy production, and tax reduction. According to Cornyn, these measures are essential for replicating the economic success seen after the 2017 tax bill.
He warned of consequences if the bill is not supported: “If you don’t vote for the bill, you’re going to see a multitrillion-dollar tax increase. That does nothing for the deficit and debt.” Cornyn described the bill as an important step towards preventing significant tax hikes and called it “a good first start.”
The senator stressed the urgency of passing the legislation to avoid financial burdens on taxpayers: “We need to get this bill done so people don’t experience a huge tax increase.”
