Rep. Wesley Hunt, representing Texas’s 38th District since 2023, recently shared a series of statements through his press office’s social media account. The tweets address concerns regarding infrastructure issues, immigration policies, and general work ethics.
On May 15, 2025, Rep. Hunt’s press office announced that the communication line from the Pentagon air traffic controller to the DCA tower has been non-functional since 2022. “BREAKING: The hotline from the Pentagon air traffic controller to the DCA tower has been out of commission since 2022! Why has this not been fixed and why are we finding out about this 3 YEARS later? What was Pete Buttigieg doing?” This raises questions about oversight and maintenance responsibilities within federal agencies.
Later on the same day, another tweet addressed birthright citizenship in the context of historical justice versus contemporary immigration policy. “There’s a big difference between granting citizenship to the children of slaves—and giving it to illegal aliens in taxpayer-funded luxury hotels. One is justice. The other is insanity. Birthright citizenship has been twisted far from its original intent.” This statement reflects ongoing debates over immigration laws and their interpretation.
In a lighter tone towards the end of May 15, Rep. Hunt’s press office posted an optimistic message about perseverance as the weekend approached. “Almost Friday. The work is just beginning!” It suggests an acknowledgment of continuous effort beyond standard working hours.
Wesley Hunt was born in Houston, Texas in 1981 and currently resides there at age 41.
