Rep. Sylvia Garcia, U.S. Congresswoman representing Texas’s 29th district, shared updates on her recent activities and views in a series of posts published on April 6 and 7, 2026.

On April 6, Garcia highlighted her meeting with local realtors, stating: “Had a great meeting with the Houston Association of Realtors @HARMembers! Expanding access to safe, affordable housing is key to ensuring families across Houston can thrive. @USHouseFSC https://t.co/KtXyRzKlxB”.

Garcia has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Gene Green and previously represented Texas’s 29th District in the Texas Senate from 2013 to 2018. She has consistently won re-election by significant margins—most recently defeating Alan Garza in the 2024 general election with approximately 65% of the vote.
