Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has shared a series of tweets on his official account that provide insight into his thoughts and reflections on various topics.
On May 17, 2025, Rep. Crenshaw posted a tweet encouraging readers to engage with a thread he described as “Long thread but 100% worth the read.”
The following day, on May 18, 2025, Crenshaw expressed his views on graduation speeches by tweeting: “Most graduation speeches are a winding diatribe of empty platitudes.” He then offered “Here are 5 quotes from commencement speeches worth hearing.”
Shortly after, at nearly the same time on May 18, he tweeted an inspirational message stating: “Go for it, whatever “it” is. You don’t have all the time in the world.“
Crenshaw has been serving in Congress since replacing Ted Poe in 2019. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently residing in Humble, Texas, he holds a BA from Tufts University.
