Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district since 2019, has shared several insights on current political and historical topics through his social media posts. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984, Crenshaw resides in Humble and is known for his candid opinions on legislative matters and international affairs.

On June 5, 2025, Crenshaw addressed Sen. Bernie Sanders in a tweet regarding their differing views on a bill: “So no, Bernie. Our bill doesn’t kill people. It protects care for those who need it, and expects effort from those who can give it. And that’s exactly why a socialist like you opposes it.” This statement highlights Crenshaw’s defense of the proposed legislation aimed at balancing healthcare support with personal responsibility.

The following day, June 6, 2025, Crenshaw expressed concerns about global issues: “We’re seeing the decline of civic understanding at home, rising authoritarian aggression abroad, and the rapid evolution of AI that no one’s ready for.” He mentioned having a discussion with Condoleezza Rice—former Secretary of State—about strategies to address these challenges.

Later that day, Crenshaw reflected on President Reagan’s famous speech during World War II commemorations: “President Reagan’s ‘Boys of Pointe du Hoc,’ eloquently spoken in 1984 from the same cliffs where US Army Rangers achieved the impossible 40 years earlier.” His post pays tribute to the historical significance of Pointe du Hoc as a pivotal location during D-Day operations.

Dan Crenshaw graduated from Tufts University in 2006 with a BA and continues to actively engage with both domestic policy discussions and international relations through his role as a Congressman.
