Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, shared a series of tweets discussing global tensions and historical reflections. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984, Crenshaw has been a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Ted Poe. He resides in Humble and is an alumnus of Tufts University.
On June 13, 2025, Crenshaw tweeted about the heightened global tensions involving several regions: “The world’s on edge—Israel vs Iran, Colombia reels from an assassination attempt, and LA burns. Here’s your 12-minute catch-up with clear cut analysis you won’t get anywhere else.”
Later that day, he reflected on Israel’s strategic decisions over time: “Whatever one thinks of Israel, one thing is clear: their enemies keep making massive strategic blunders.” He recounted the events of June 5, 1967, when Syrian, Egyptian, and Jordanian armies amassed at Israel’s border.
On June 14, 2025, Crenshaw commemorated Flag Day by highlighting its historical significance: “June 14, 1777: The Continental Congress adopts the Stars and Stripes… Happy Flag Day to those who’ve kept it waving.”
