Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, shared his views on recent political developments through a series of tweets. Crenshaw has been vocal about international issues and his concerns regarding media coverage of these topics.

On July 9, 2025, Crenshaw expressed his dissatisfaction with an interview conducted by Tucker Carlson. He remarked, “What’s really incredible about this ‘interview’ is that Tucker didn’t ask a *single* hard question.” He suggested that if he were conducting the interview, he would ask Iranian President Pezeshkian what he would say to the family of Mahsa Amini, a young woman who was reportedly beaten to death by Iran’s morality police.

In another tweet from the same day, Crenshaw criticized President Pezeshkian for using terms like “peace” and “tranquility,” while accusing his proxies of engaging in hostile activities. He stated, “That’s not peace. That’s war by proxy—via Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and others.” Crenshaw expressed concern over Tucker Carlson providing a platform without challenging these assertions.

Further addressing international tensions, Crenshaw highlighted claims made by Iran’s President regarding assassination plots against former President Trump. On July 9, 2025, he tweeted about Iran’s denial of issuing a fatwa while mentioning reports of an $18 million bounty on Trump and ongoing revenge efforts for Soleimani. “Meanwhile, Iranian regime affiliates just renewed an $18 million bounty on our President,” he noted.

Dan Crenshaw has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Ted Poe. Born in Aberdeen in 1984 and now residing in Humble at age 39, Crenshaw graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.
