Senator John Cornyn, a longtime U.S. Senator from Texas, recently shared several updates on his social media account regarding his re-election campaign and views on immigration enforcement and voter registration.
On November 19, 2025, Cornyn highlighted an endorsement in his bid for re-election, posting: “National Realtors PAC endorses John Cornyn for re-election – Odessa American https://t.co/2T1qlnqEJg”.
Later that day, Cornyn commented on the political climate surrounding immigration enforcement under the current administration. In a post dated November 19, 2025, he wrote: “Ever since @POTUS was sworn into office & began prioritizing immigration enforcement, Democrats have used rhetoric to fan the flames of public protests, and far-left protesters have made violent threats against ICE officers, comparing them to fascists & Nazis and inciting https://t.co/m7WMZPbPt5”.
Addressing election integrity issues in Texas’ most populous county later that evening, Cornyn stated: “The National Voter Registration Act requires the REMOVAL of ineligible names from voter rolls at least 90 days before a federal election. Harris County failed to remove tens of thousands of ineligible voters by the deadline, including illegal aliens who should’ve NEVER been”.
Senator Cornyn has served multiple terms in the U.S. Senate after first being elected in 2002. He has won successive elections against Democratic opponents Ron Kirk (2002), Rick Noriega (2008), David Alameel (2014), and MJ Hegar (2020), with vote percentages ranging from approximately 53% to over 61%. These victories underscore his longstanding incumbency as a Republican senator representing Texas.
