Senior Lukas Boandl tied for fifth place at the Mossy Oak Collegiate, held at Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, according to an announcement on April 14. Boandl finished the tournament with a score of 73 in the final round and a total of five under par. This marks his third top-10 finish this year and the sixth of his collegiate career.

The event concluded the regular season for Rice Owls Men’s Golf. Other team members also completed their rounds: sophomore Daniel Zou posted a final-round 75 to tie for 37th place at five over par; junior Reggie Zhu tied for 77th place with a score of fourteen over par after shooting a 78; redshirt junior Henry Daly shot a 79 to tie for 82nd place at fifteen over par; and freshman Raines Watson recorded a final-round 78 to tie for 85th place at sixteen over par.

As a team, Rice carded a combined score of 304 in the last round and finished tied for fourteenth with Middle Tennessee. The overall lead was shared by No.15 Ole Miss and No.59 Mississippi State, both finishing seventeen under par.

The results reflect consistent performances from individual players throughout the season as well as opportunities ahead during postseason play.

Rice will begin its postseason schedule from April 27 to April 29 when it travels to Sarasota, Florida, to compete in the American Championships.
