Rep. Lizzie Fletcher, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 7th district, has been active on social media sharing updates and information pertinent to her constituents. Fletcher, who succeeded John Culberson in 2019, often uses her platform to engage with the community and discuss legislative matters.
On May 11, 2025, Rep. Fletcher expressed gratitude towards her interns for their contributions during the spring semester. She stated, “Every semester, I’m so grateful to our interns for their hard work helping me and the entire #TX07 team serve our neighbors at home in Houston. Many thanks to 2025 our spring semester interns, who were outstanding! We will miss you!”
Later that day, she announced an upcoming event aimed at assisting constituents with federal agency matters. In a tweet posted on May 11, she mentioned, “Our next constituent services pop-up will Monday, May 19 at the Chinese Community Center. Stop by to talk to Team #TX07 constituent advocates about how we can help you with matters before federal agencies.”
On May 13, Fletcher highlighted ongoing legislative activities concerning budget discussions within the Energy and Commerce Committee. She noted via Twitter that “And so it begins. @EnergyCommerce now meeting to mark up our part of the Republicans’ disastrous budget. Follow along as Democrats on my committee fight to protect people who rely on Medicaid and more.”
Lizzie Pannill Fletcher was born in Houston in 1975 and continues to reside there today. A graduate of Kenyon College and holder of a JD from the College of William and Mary, she has been representing Texas’s 7th District since 2019.
