U.S. Representative Lizzie Fletcher, who serves Texas’s 7th Congressional District, recently highlighted her community engagement efforts and celebrated a local milestone through several posts on social media.
On August 2, 2025, Fletcher posted about her participation in a youth-focused event, stating: “Great to join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and local community leaders for a Youth Advocacy Town Hall about the importance of working together to help kids in our community by engaging, educating, and empowering them, in #TX07 and beyond.”
The following day, she commemorated an anniversary for one of the cities within her district. On August 3, Fletcher wrote: “On this day in 1934, Southside Place’s city council passed a resolution declaring it an incorporated city, which it remains to this day. Happy 101st birthday to #TX07’s Southside Place!”
Continuing her updates on constituent services, Fletcher noted on August 4 that recent Passport Fairs have helped residents with their travel documentation needs. She said: “Since we began holding Passport Fairs earlier this year, we’ve helped dozens of our neighbors update or obtain new passports, and the same was true this weekend in Mission Bend. Thanks to all who came out!”
Lizzie Fletcher has represented Texas’s 7th Congressional District since defeating John Culberson in the 2018 general election with 52.5% of the vote. She has subsequently secured re-election victories against Wesley Hunt in 2020 (50.8%), Johnny Teague in 2022 (63.8%), and Caroline Kane in 2024 (61.3%).
