U.S. Representative Lizzie Fletcher, who serves Texas’s 7th district in Congress, recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative efforts and concerns regarding immigration enforcement and government transparency.

On February 7, 2026, Fletcher wrote, “I co-sponsored @RepScottPeters’ Stop Excessive Force in Immigration Act to place strict limits on immigration agents’ use of force and reinforce protections for people exercising their First Amendment rights.”

Later that day, she addressed a specific case involving a college student: “College freshman Any LucĂa LĂłpez Belloza was wrongfully deported while traveling back home to surprise her family in Texas. Her removal is in direct violation of a federal court order. I joined @RepCasar and @SenWarren in demanding she be brought home immediately.” This statement was posted on February 7, 2026.

On February 8, 2026, Fletcher commented on the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein: “What we have seen in the Epstein Files this week has been appalling. I joined my colleagues in the @DemWomenCaucus to demand a thorough investigation to ensure the files are released in full, protecting survivors’ dignity while calling for transparency of this administration.”

Lizzie Pannill Fletcher has represented Texas’s 7th District since replacing John Culberson in 2019. She has won multiple elections against various opponents: defeating Caroline Kane in 2024 with over 61% of the vote; Johnny Teague in 2022 with nearly 64%; Wesley Hunt in 2020 with just over half the vote; and John Culberson himself during her first victory in 2018. These results underscore her continued electoral support within her district.
