In another statement posted later that night regarding federal disaster funding after Hurricane Harvey, Fletcher reflected on her long-term involvement with related policy and criticized state administration of funds: “Having worked on this issue for the last seven years, and having succeeded the Member of Congress who wrote the provisions directing more than $4 billion in federal funds following Hurricane Harvey, there is no doubt that the Texas General Land Office did Houstonians wrong.
