U.S. Representative Lizzie Fletcher, who represents Texas’s 7th congressional district, posted a series of messages on her official social media account on February 2, 2026. The posts addressed Black History Month, student nominations to military service academies, and constituent services.
In an early post that day, Fletcher stated: “Black history is American history. This month and every month, let’s teach, honor, and remember it. And let’s fight back against those who are trying to erase it. #BlackHistoryMonth” (February 2, 2026).
Later the same day, she highlighted her office’s role in nominating students for military service academies: “It is a privilege and a joy to nominate bright, dedicated students to our military service academies.
This year’s nominees have demonstrated their commitment to service and excellence through academics, community engagement, and leadership. Their patriotism and dedication to” (February 2, 2026).
In a third post on February 2, Fletcher described her team’s assistance with federal agencies: “Team #TX07 was happy to help Vlad continue his studies by communicating with USCIS on his behalf, and we’re happy to help people throughout our district with matters relating to other federal agencies.

Lizzie Fletcher has served as the representative for Texas’s 7th congressional district since defeating John Culberson in the 2018 general election. She secured re-election in subsequent contests against Wesley Hunt in 2020 (winning by approximately three percentage points), Johnny Teague in 2022 (with over sixty percent of the vote), and Caroline Kane in 2024 (winning more than sixty percent of ballots cast).
