Lizzie Pannill Fletcher, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 7th district, has been actively engaging with her constituents through social media. Fletcher, who succeeded John Culberson in 2019, often uses these platforms to share her initiatives and express gratitude towards various community groups.
On May 16, 2025, Fletcher acknowledged National Police Week by expressing appreciation for law enforcement personnel. She stated, “This week is National Police Week, where we appreciate and honor those who protect and serve our communities. I am so grateful for the men and women of our local law enforcement agencies in #TX07 as well as those in Washington who defend us and our democracy every day.”
Later that day, she announced an upcoming webinar focused on hurricane preparedness amid budget cuts to NOAA. She invited followers to join the discussion by signing up via a provided link: “Check out that guest list. As we gear up for hurricane season, I’m hosting a webinar to discuss cuts to NOAA and what they mean for our region’s preparedness.”
On May 17, 2025, Fletcher expressed her commitment to equality by joining efforts with her Congressional colleagues from the Equality Caucus. Fletcher was born in Houston in 1975 and continues to reside there. Her educational background includes a BA from Kenyon College obtained in 1997 and a JD from the College of William & Mary earned in 2006.
