U.S. Representative Lizzie Fletcher has recently highlighted several issues and events in her district through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). Fletcher, who represents Texas’s 7th Congressional District, used her platform to inform constituents about congressional oversight activities, share recommended readings, and reflect on community engagement.
On February 3, 2026, Fletcher announced an upcoming hearing: “Today, the @EnergyCommerce Oversight & Investigations Subcommittee will hold a hearing on fraud in the health care sector. Tune in at 9:30 a.m. CST https://t.co/ay2WByKfUx https://t.co/KdANxIPgAu”.
Later that day, she drew attention to what she described as critical reading material for those concerned with government accountability: “An important read for those who want to understand what is happening, and how our government is failing the people and principles of our country. https://t.co/SQn1RyTTb2 https://t.co/Zb4Ip1JXyT”.
On February 4, 2026, Fletcher commented on her recent participation in a local event: “Good to be with @HCPrecinct4 and our #TX07 neighbors at this weekend’s town hall meeting in #Alief. Thanks to all who came out, asked questions, and made your voices heard. We need your participation now more than ever. https://t.co/ZtC0HnifAu”.
Fletcher has held her seat since first winning election in 2018 by defeating John Culberson with 52.5% of the vote. She has since been re-elected multiple times—defeating Wesley Hunt in 2020 with just over half the vote; Johnny Teague in 2022 with nearly two-thirds; and most recently Caroline Kane in 2024 with over sixty percent support from voters.
