Lizzie Pannill Fletcher, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 7th District since 2019, has been active on social media discussing various community and national issues. Born in Houston in 1975, Fletcher holds a BA from Kenyon College and a JD from the College of William and Mary. She frequently engages with her constituents through town halls and media appearances.
On June 1, 2025, Fletcher expressed gratitude to those who attended a town hall meeting in Mission Bend alongside FBC Precinct 4. In her tweet, she stated, “Thanks to all who joined @FBCPrecinct4 and me in Mission Bend this week for our #TX07 Town Hall. It was great to see and hear from so many neighbors about how we can work together on our community’s priorities. Thank you to the Mission Bend Boys & Girls Club for hosting us!”
The following day, June 2, Fletcher addressed a tragic event that had occurred in Boulder. She tweeted, “My thoughts today are with the victims of the antisemitic attack yesterday in Boulder, the people of Boulder, and the people in our community and everywhere who are feeling the pain and fear arising from this act of terror. This attack on the Jewish community, at a time meant.”
Later that day, Fletcher highlighted her recent appearance on Houston Matters with Craig Cohen where she discussed a significant budget bill proposed by House Republicans. She invited followers to listen to her discussion via an ICYMI tweet: “ICYMI: I joined Craig Cohen on Houston Matters on Friday to talk about House Republicans’ big, bad budget bill and what it will mean for people in #TX07 and beyond.”
