U.S. Representative Lizzie Fletcher, who has served Texas’s 7th district since 2019, used her social media platform on July 19, 2025, to highlight the importance of public lands preservation, community engagement in Houston, and fair redistricting practices.
In a post published at 12:24 UTC, Fletcher stated, “I am grateful for the investment of generations of leaders before us who worked to preserve our public lands. This July, we celebrate National Park and Recreation Month, and recommit to their preservation for our future.”
Later that day at 15:18 UTC, she wrote about connecting with local leaders from Houston: “It’s always a great to see #HoustoniansOnTheHill, and this week I was glad to catch up with @hcpct1 Rodney Ellis.”
Addressing political reform in her third post at 22:21 UTC, Fletcher emphasized her stance on redistricting: “Redistricting takes place for citizens—not politicians. Politicians should not trade their constituents for political advantage. Glad to join @RepVeasey as an original co-sponsor of the Anti-Rigging Act to ban mid-decade redistricting.”
Lizzie Pannill Fletcher has represented Texas’s 7th District in Congress since replacing John Culberson in 2019. Born in Houston in 1975 and currently residing there, Fletcher graduated from Kenyon College with a BA in 1997 and earned a JD from the College of William and Mary in 2006.
