Lacey Hull, a Republican member of the Texas State House representing the 138th district since 2021, recently posted a series of updates on her social media account regarding education, nutrition assistance, and victims’ rights initiatives in Texas.
On March 30, Hull alerted followers about the closing window for the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program. She wrote: ” Applications Close Tomorrow- Texas Education Freedom Accounts See below from the @txcomptroller. The Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA) program application window closes tomorrow, March 31, at 11:59 p.m. CT. We’ve received applications for more than 256,000 students https://t.co/w0dLGKkYKJ”.
The following day, on March 31, Hull addressed changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) in Texas. She stated: “Beginning tomorrow, April 1st, Texans will no longer be able to purchase candy or sweetened drinks through the SNAP program! I want to thank my fellow legislators, especially @StanGerdesforTX, @mayes_middleton, and @LoisKolkhorst, as well as Governor @GregAbbott_TX for getting https://t.co/1MLNUA3w0k”.
Later that same day, Hull shared her participation in an event focused on supporting crime victims. She posted: “I was honored to join @CrimeStopHOU for the launch of the Texas Victims’ Rights and Support Hub this afternoon. It was really powerful to hear from the panel of victims/survivors who talked about their experiences and who helped to craft this Hub. This new website will help not https://t.co/Qtiryvmb7H”.
Hull has served in the Texas State House since her election in 2021 after replacing Dwayne Bohac as representative for District 138.
