Houston Volleyball has announced the addition of two new players to its 2026 roster. Head Coach David Rehr confirmed that Harmoni Dobbins, a freshman middle blocker, and Olivia Stringer, a junior outside hitter transferring from Blinn College, will join the team for the upcoming fall semester.

“I am excited to announce the addition of these two outstanding student‑athletes,” Rehr said. “Getting to know Harmoni throughout her recruitment has been a pleasure. She is a well‑rounded student and volleyball player, and I am confident she will make a meaningful impact on Houston Volleyball in the near future. Olivia brings valuable experience from her time at Blinn College and understands what it means to be the focal point of an offense. I’m eager to see how her success at Blinn translates to the Big 12.”

Dobbins comes from Ellenwood, Georgia, where she played for Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts. She was captain during her senior year and helped lead her team to a 16-3 record and a quarterfinal appearance in the NEPSAC Tournament. Dobbins contributed to Deerfield’s 2022 NEPSAC Championship win and additional deep tournament runs in later years. During high school, she recorded 185 blocks and 334 kills with a .325 hitting percentage. In club play with TK 17-1 Outlaw, she added 146 blocks and 215 kills.

Off the court, Dobbins participated in peer counseling, choir, an acapella group, and cheerleading at Deerfield Academy.

Stringer transfers after one season at Texas A&M Corpus Christi followed by a year at Blinn College. At Blinn, she was named First-Team NJCAA All-America for 2025 after leading her team with 536 kills—ranking second among all NJCAA Division I players—and contributing significantly in digs, service aces, and blocks. She achieved double-digit kills in most matches last season and helped guide Blinn to a 38-5 record along with an NJCAA Tournament appearance.

Previously at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Stringer was part of a Southland Conference Championship-winning squad that advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Her high school career at Brazoswood High School included All-District First-Team honors in both 2021 and 2022 as well as being named District Co-Offensive MVP in her final year.
