The University of Houston Track and Field program announced on Apr. 27 a change in the schedule for the Cameron Burrell Invitational at the Carl Lewis International Complex, citing expected bad weather later this week in Houston.

The adjustment will move the pole vault and discus events to Wednesday at 2 p.m. Thursday’s activities will now start with field events at 11:30 a.m., followed by running events beginning at 2 p.m.

In addition to the competition, Houston Track and Field plans to honor its senior class at 4:45 p.m. during the meet. The ceremony aims to recognize seniors for their contributions to the program.

Fans are encouraged by organizers to support Houston Track and Field through NIL opportunities, ticket purchases, or joining the Podium Club, which helps fund needs beyond the team’s regular budget.
