The University of Houston Women’s Golf team will conclude its regular-season schedule at the Huntington Bank Collegiate, beginning April 6 at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.

This event marks the final competition before postseason play for the Cougars, providing a last opportunity to compete against a strong field ahead of conference and NCAA tournaments.

The tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday, followed by the final round on Tuesday. The Houston lineup includes senior Moa Svedenskiöld, junior Maelynn Kim, senior Alexa Saldaña, sophomore Emilia Väistö, and senior Natalie Saint Germain. Freshman Sadie Adams will participate as an individual competitor. Head Coach Lydia Lasprilla leads the team this season.

Svedenskiöld currently holds a scoring average of 71.86 and has recorded four top-10 finishes this year. She finished tied for 17th at the recent MountainView Collegiate in Tucson with a score of one-under-par 215. Saint Germain follows with a scoring average of 73.00 and previously won the Jim West Challenge in October after three consecutive rounds in the 60s.

Houston will face strong competition from teams such as UCF (ranked #13), UCLA (#15), Tennessee (#18), Oklahoma (#24), Arizona (#25), Oklahoma State (#27), TCU (#41), Texas Tech (#50) and others including Tulane, Colorado State, San Diego State, Seattle, Cal Poly, Iowa and host SMU (#30).

After this tournament concludes on Tuesday, Houston is set to begin postseason play at the Big 12 Championships scheduled for April 23-25 at Dallas Athletic Club. The NCAA postseason begins May 11-13 across six national sites with teams learning their regional assignments during the NCAA Selection Show on April 29 via Golf Channel.
