The University of Houston softball team lost its second game in a weekend series, falling 11-0 against the University of Central Florida at Cougar Softball Stadium on March 28.

The loss leaves the Cougars with a record of 17-20 overall and 1-10 in Big 12 conference play. The Knights improved to 27-10 overall and hold a conference record of 5-6. The Cougars were unable to get any hits after UCF pitcher Isabella Vega threw a perfect game, securing the win for her team and clinching the weekend series.

Junior Gigi Solis came into the game as relief pitcher in the third inning. She pitched three scoreless innings, struck out two batters, and allowed only one hit during her time on the mound.

Houston will play its final game of the series against UCF tomorrow, with first pitch scheduled for noon. The match will be available for streaming on ESPN+.
