The University of Houston Soccer program announced on Apr. 8 that its spring exhibition match against Texas A&M, originally set for Saturday, has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

The cancellation affects fans and players who had planned to attend the annual matchup between the Cougars and Aggies. No reason was given for the cancellation in the announcement.

Instead, Houston will play Stephen F. Austin at 1 p.m. on Sunday at SFA Soccer Field in Nacogdoches, Texas. This adjustment provides an alternative opportunity for both teams to compete during the spring season.

Supporters are encouraged to help Houston Soccer by providing Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities or by joining Cougar Reserves to support needs beyond the team’s operating budget. The program also invites fans to stay updated through social media channels including X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram.

Further updates about scheduling or other changes can be found through official team communications.
