Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district since 2019, shared his insights and opinions on social media recently. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and a graduate of Tufts University, Crenshaw often uses his platform to discuss legislative matters and historical events.
On July 2, 2025, Crenshaw provided his analysis of the OBBB (Omnibus Budget Balancing Bill) through a tweet. He acknowledged that the bill is not perfect but emphasized the necessity of voting on its aggregate rather than focusing on its imperfections. “Is it everything I want? No. Are there things in it I don’t want? Yes,” he stated.
Later that day, Crenshaw addressed support from Megyn Kelly while clarifying issues regarding his amendment related to gender transition protection for children. In a tweet, he noted that “the issue wasn’t just the parliamentarian stripping my amendment… Senate Republicans also chose the path of least resistance.”
Crenshaw also commemorated an important historical event with a post reflecting on July 2nd, 1776, when the Continental Congress voted for independence by adopting Richard Henry Lee’s resolution. He further mentioned that on July 4th, Thomas Jefferson’s final draft of the Declaration was approved.
Dan Crenshaw resides in Humble and continues to actively participate in legislative discussions while reflecting on both contemporary issues and historical milestones.
