Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has shared several reflections and observations on recent events through his social media posts.

On July 6, 2025, Crenshaw expressed gratitude towards veterans and those who have served the nation by attending a gathering at The Woodlands Bible Church. He remarked on the importance of service in defending America’s freedom, stating “On Friday, we celebrated America’s freedom. Today, I joined fellow Veterans at The Woodlands Bible Church to reflect on the service that defends it.” He extended thanks to Pastor Dale Inman for hosting the event and acknowledged the sacrifices made by veterans.

In a post dated July 8, 2025, Crenshaw criticized Christina Probst for her actions during the COVID-19 pandemic. He recalled an incident from 2020 where Probst organized a letter accusing him of contributing to Houston’s COVID surge due to his stance against lockdowns. Crenshaw described her as “the same vile ‘doctor’ who tried to cancel me during COVID.”

Later that day, Crenshaw commented on the response to severe flooding along the Guadalupe River. He highlighted acts of bravery and selflessness exhibited by first responders and community members during this crisis. His remarks emphasized American character over comfort: “In the face of deadly flooding along the Guadalupe River, we’ve witnessed what truly defines America.”

Crenshaw was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and resides in Humble. A graduate of Tufts University with a BA obtained in 2006, he has been serving Texas’s 2nd District since replacing Ted Poe in 2019.
