Representative Dan Crenshaw, a Republican member of Congress, posted a series of tweets on October 1, 2025, addressing government spending and healthcare for undocumented immigrants.
In one tweet, Crenshaw wrote: “Amy, the American people have spoken, they want to cut spending and reject paying for healthcare for illegal aliens. So, go back to being abusive to your staffers and leave governing to the adults.” (October 1, 2025).
Later that day, he questioned another public figure about budgetary claims: “So if not one penny goes to cover illegals … why does banning it save money, Chuck?” (October 1, 2025).
A third post from Crenshaw included only a link without additional commentary: https://t.co/iRoxD1oP9S (October 1, 2025).
Crenshaw has held his congressional seat through several election cycles. In the most recent general election in 2024, he defeated Peter Filler with approximately 65.7% of the vote. He previously won against Robin Fulford in 2022 with a similar margin and had earlier victories over Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 and Todd Litton in 2018.
