Rep. Dan Crenshaw, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 2nd district, recently posted a series of tweets reflecting on voting and the significance of Good Friday.
On April 1, 2026, Crenshaw wrote, “These people vote.” In a follow-up tweet seconds later, he credited the source of an accompanying video: “video credit: nocapongodfr on IG”.
Two days later, on April 3, 2026, Crenshaw addressed his followers with a message about Good Friday: “Good Friday is the moment where the story of the world turns—where themes that run from the beginning of Scripture converge in a single event: sacrifice and redemption. What looks like defeat is the fulfillment of prophecy and the beginning of a new covenant. We do not have”
Crenshaw has served as representative for Texas’s 2nd District since 2019 after succeeding Ted Poe. He has won several consecutive elections by significant margins—defeating Peter Filler in 2024 with over 65% of the vote; Robin Fulford in 2022 with nearly 66%; Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 with just under 56%; and Todd Litton in 2018 with almost 53%.
