Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 2nd district since 2019, has recently shared his views on social media regarding the impact of cartels in America. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently residing in Humble, Crenshaw graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.

On June 4, 2025, Crenshaw expressed concerns about the pervasive influence of cartels across American communities. He stated that “If the fentanyl crisis wasn’t enough proof, here’s more evidence that cartels are more than a Mexico problem or a border issue.” He further elaborated that these organizations are entrenched throughout the United States and actively seek to profit through various illicit activities including human trafficking, weapons distribution, and narcotics.
