Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 2nd district since 2019, posted several updates on his official Twitter account in mid-July 2025, addressing legislative developments and current issues.
On July 16, 2025, Crenshaw commented on political responsibility with the statement: “It’s always the guy who lit the fire that wants to sell you the extinguisher.”
Later that day, he highlighted a significant legislative achievement: “President Trump just signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law — a bill on which I was an original co-sponsor. It permanently classifies fentanyl as a Schedule I drug under the Controlled Substances Act. This gives law enforcement the power they need to take down traffickers, shut” (posted July 16, 2025).
On July 17, 2025, Crenshaw made another post regarding ongoing efforts related to “liquids,” stating: “Ok, cool, liquids are being fixed. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.”
Crenshaw has served in Congress since replacing Ted Poe in 2019 and is known for his work on various legislative initiatives. Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently residing in Humble, Texas, he graduated from Tufts University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
