Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has been vocal on social media regarding energy policies and legislative actions. Crenshaw, who replaced Ted Poe in 2019, shared his views through a series of tweets.
On June 12, 2025, Crenshaw expressed concerns about energy demand amid increasing manufacturing and competition with China in artificial intelligence. He stated that “Energy demand is skyrocketing as we onshore manufacturing and compete with China on AI. Now more than ever, we need MORE reliable power—not less.” He criticized President Biden’s power plan regulations for potentially removing reliable and affordable energy sources from the grid and deterring new investments. “Biden’s power plan regulations would force reliable and affordable energy offline, and scare off new investment.”
The following day, June 13, 2025, Crenshaw endorsed another post with a brief comment “100%,” linking to additional content.
In another tweet posted on the same day at almost the same time, he directed followers to learn more about his coordinated efforts between Congress and the Administration by providing a link: “Learn about what actions I’m coordinating between Congress and the Administration here:“
Dan Crenshaw was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 but currently resides in Humble. He graduated from Tufts University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
