Rep. Dan Crenshaw, who represents Texas’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, used his Twitter account on July 18, 2025, to share a series of posts addressing federal spending and recent policy changes regarding healthcare for minors.

In a tweet posted at 02:29 UTC, Crenshaw wrote: “For years, I’ve fought to stop your tax dollars from funding sex changes for children. Now, @POTUS is making it happen. No more Medicaid-funded puberty blockers. No more taxpayer-subsidized surgeries on minors. This is a win for sanity. And for every parent who’s had enough.”

Later that morning at 04:19 UTC, Crenshaw detailed his concerns about federal budget allocations in two separate tweets. The first stated: “— $83 million for “democracy promotion” programs that often fund anti-American NGOs — $27 million for projects like “recycler equity” in Bolivia and DEI outreach in Brazil — $22 million to the African Development Foundation for niche cultural grants — $800 million for refugee”. In a subsequent post at the same time, he added: “— $460 million for gender and climate programs in Europe and Central Asia — $125 million for a “Clean Technology Fund” promoting Green New Deal projects abroad — $2.5 billion in so-called development aid, often funneled into corrupt regimes — $436 million for UN programs that”.

Dan Crenshaw has served as the U.S. Representative from Texas’s 2nd District since 2019 after succeeding Ted Poe ([source](https://bioguide.congress.gov/search/bio/C001120)). He was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently resides in Humble ([source](https://www.texastribune.org/directory/dan-crenshaw/)). Crenshaw holds a BA from Tufts University (class of 2006).

His recent social media statements reflect ongoing debates within Congress regarding government spending priorities and healthcare policies affecting minors.
