Rep. Dan Crenshaw, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 2nd district since 2019, published several posts on his social media account on April 15, 2026, addressing Tax Day and making remarks about grammar and tax policy.

On the morning of April 15, Crenshaw posted a comment referencing grammar with the message: “Did you guys lose your grammar check staff in the war?”.

Later that day, he acknowledged Tax Day in California by posting: “Happy Tax Day, California.” at 21:06 UTC.

Shortly after, Crenshaw addressed national tax policy with a direct statement: “It’s Tax Day and everyone should be thankful that Democrats weren’t in charge. They argued for your taxes to increase. Full stop. There’s no grey area to this.”

Crenshaw has held his congressional seat since replacing Ted Poe in 2019. He has consistently won re-election over multiple cycles, defeating Peter Filler in 2024 with nearly two-thirds of the vote and previously winning against Robin Fulford in 2022, Sima Ladjevardian in 2020, and Todd Litton in 2018.
