Rep. Dan Crenshaw, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 2nd district since 2019, addressed immigration enforcement and law enforcement attitudes in a series of posts on February 4, 2026.
In his first tweet, Crenshaw stated, “The Supreme Court has long recognized the legitimacy of administrative warrants in immigration enforcement. Courts have ruled that fugitives with removal orders have a diminished expectation of privacy.” (posted on February 4, 2026).
Later that day, Crenshaw shared another post containing only a link: “https://t.co/tqqJWZcYIq” (posted on February 4, 2026).
In a subsequent tweet posted at the same time as the previous one, Crenshaw commented on perceptions of law enforcement: “They hate law enforcement so much they started to literally cosplay law enforcement. https://t.co/tt3XD7rDPG” (posted on February 4, 2026).
Crenshaw has maintained his seat in Congress through several election cycles, defeating Peter Filler in the 2024 general election with 65.7% of the vote. He previously won against Robin Fulford in 2022 and Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 by similar margins. Since succeeding Ted Poe in 2019, he has continued to represent Texas’s 2nd district.
