Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has recently shared his views on several topics through social media posts. Crenshaw, who succeeded Ted Poe in 2019 and holds a BA from Tufts University, continues to engage with various issues affecting the United States.
On June 11, 2025, Crenshaw expressed his opinion on a certain statement by stating, “Let me be clear, this is the dumbest comment ever.”
Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding activities near the U.S.-Mexico border. He described a disturbing practice involving new recruits being forced into violent acts and called for comprehensive government action against Mexican cartels. Crenshaw tweeted, “They force new recruits to shoot another recruit—then eat the flesh. If they refuse, they’re next. This is the kind of insanity and evil operating just across our border. We need an all-of-government approach to take the Mexican cartels out.”
On June 12, 2025, Crenshaw commented on land ownership issues related to celebrity Katy Perry’s estate. He remarked on ancestral land claims by tweeting, “If ancestral land claims are valid, as Katy Perry insists, the Chumash tribe has a pretty strong case for her $15M Montecito estate.”
Crenshaw was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and currently resides in Humble at age 39.
