Representative Dan Crenshaw, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’s 2nd District since 2019, recently addressed several topics of national and local importance through his social media posts. Crenshaw, a Tufts University graduate born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984, currently resides in Humble, Texas.

On July 13, 2025, Crenshaw marked the anniversary of an attempt on former President Donald Trump’s life by stating: “One year ago, President Trump survived an assassination attempt. We don’t tolerate political violence in this country. We fight with ideas, and we fight for America.”

In a post dated July 14, 2025, Crenshaw commented on the recovery efforts following devastation in Kerr County: “Kerr County will rebuild, no doubt about it. The ‘Texas Strong’ mentality is real. You can feel it. That’s exactly what I witnessed on the ground with President Trump on Friday: a community standing shoulder to shoulder in the face of unimaginable devastation.”

Later that day, he addressed cartel dynamics in Mexico and their impact on border security: “As the Sinaloa Cartel fights amongst itself for control of their network, CJNG is taking advantage of the vacuum and seizing more influence. They’re expanding from their western Mexico stronghold and pushing into the northeast, siding with the Gulf Cartel (who created the Zetas).”

Dan Crenshaw replaced Ted Poe as representative for Texas’s 2nd District in 2019.
