Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 2nd district since 2019, addressed concerns over Iran’s intentions and potential threat to the United States and its allies in a series of posts on March 24, 2026.

In his initial post, Crenshaw stated: “In the case of Iran, just because we don’t have a tweet from the IRGC talking about striking on a certain day doesn’t mean we don’t have capability and intent. Do they intend to attack America and our allies? Yeah, they’ve been chanting it for decades. They build missiles with” (March 24, 2026).

He continued by emphasizing the necessity of accepting difficult policy options: “You don’t have to like our options but you have to accept them. Because accepting reality is part of being an adult in a dangerous world. The President gets this. Many Democrats actually  get it too, but their TDS brain seizures makes them reactively stupid. And the “MAGA”” (March 24, 2026).

Crenshaw concluded with a rhetorical question regarding nuclear proliferation: “So what’s the better option? Allow them to become a larger threat and more hardened target? Wait until they get a nuke and become untouchable, free to wreak havoc without fear of retaliation, like North Korea? You want another North Korea?” (March 24, 2026).

Dan Crenshaw has held his seat in Congress since replacing Ted Poe in 2019. He has consistently secured reelection victories in recent years, including defeating Peter Filler in the 2024 general election with nearly two-thirds of the vote. These remarks reflect ongoing debates among U.S. policymakers about strategies toward Iran and preventing nuclear escalation.
