Rep. Dan Crenshaw, a U.S. Congressman from Texas, posted a series of tweets on July 29 and 30, 2025, addressing issues ranging from China’s political climate to immigration enforcement and social media controversies.
On July 29, Crenshaw highlighted concerns about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the disappearance of activist Peng Lifa. He wrote, “This is the stuff the CCP doesn’t want you to see. Peng Lifa spoke out—and vanished. Totalitarian regimes survive by silencing truth. So when someone tells you that China is “prOoF tHaT sOCiaLIsm wOrks..!” Just know they’re either lying or willfully ignorant.

Later that day, he commented on immigration enforcement under former President Trump, focusing on child sex offender arrests in Houston. In his tweet, Crenshaw stated, “When the Left complains that President Trump’s immigration enforcement is “extreme” and “inhumane,” point to this: 214 illegal alien child sex offenders arrested this year in the Houston area alone—and it’s only July.
What’s really extreme is letting them stay.”
On July 30, Crenshaw responded to criticism aimed at actress Sydney Sweeney over an advertisement campaign. He tweeted, “Being mad at Sydney Sweeney over a jeans ad is really some peak stupidity”.
Dan Crenshaw has represented Texas in Congress since 2018 and has won several elections with significant margins, including victories over Peter Filler in 2024 (65.7% to 34.3%), Robin Fulford in 2022 (65.9% to 34%), Sima Ladjevardian in 2020 (55.6% to 42.8%), and Todd Litton in 2018 (52.8% to 45.6%).
