Rep. Dan Crenshaw, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 2nd district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media presence. On May 22 and 23, 2025, he addressed topics ranging from educational policies to federal funding for Planned Parenthood.

On May 22, Crenshaw posted about an “activist mom” who advised girls to be resilient when boys take their spots and medals. He remarked that progress is being made as more schools and leagues are reverting to traditional norms.

In a subsequent post on May 23, Crenshaw commented on what he described as a significant victory within the legislative context of the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” He highlighted that Planned Parenthood would lose its federal funding. He referenced the Hyde Amendment from nearly five decades ago which banned direct taxpayer funding of abortion but noted that Planned Parenthood had continued to receive substantial funds.

Dan Crenshaw was born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1984 and now resides in Humble. He has represented Texas’s 2nd District since succeeding Ted Poe in 2019. Crenshaw graduated from Tufts University with a BA in 2006.
